It has to be said, that especially as ANet have indeed said they won't be continuing support for chapter specific classes, that the classes will be tied to thier own chapters...

I tried ritualist, hated it...

I run two assasins, but only as secondaries. A W/A (The Shreader, it had to be done and I was suprised no one had done it sooner) and a R/A (as the armour level and skills compliment each other quite nicely and gives the ranger some quite heavy melee damage ability if things get too close)

From the description of the paragon, I think like the ritualist I'll give it a miss, however, the Dervish I think I'm going to play with, then my M/W Axe Smiter will be changing to a Monk/Dervish... the idea of a Scythe wielding, Smiting Monk gets me a little juiced in places I won't mention...

Is it me or do people forget the description part where it says dervish transform into embodiments of their gods.

And Paragon is an Elonian profession in essence. If memory serves the Elonians were powerful people. Let's not jump conclusions about professions we haven't seen yet.

I am looking foward to playing the Paragon xD! After seeing the pics i think its the class for me...not to sure about that dervish, not very appealing :/

My guess is it will be the green areas on the dervish armor are what dye. In which case colour isn't a problem.

I find it surprising that people still believe in die-hard "wammo syndrome"

Most of it has been long since cured and the only thing that keeps driving the missconception that most W/Mo are still idiots are just the legend of the syndrome itself. Same with Assassin.

People want to believe it to be true and therefore it must me, right?

Frankly, I rarely see a stupid tank in groups anymore, PUG or otherwise. Most at least know what not to do, even if they are shaky on what they should do.

The irony is, and it is irony, my observations have led me to see many more "wammo" style screw ups by more and more casters. I've yet to discover the cause of this new unknown syndrome afflicting the caster ranks.

I really do hope ANet balances Paragons correctly. It sounds to me like they will either be very much overpowered, or gimpy. I mean, one of the skill descriptions says the Paragon can give an entire party hex resistance...how much energy and time does it take for a monk to remove hexes from a party? And now these Paragons are going to do it all at once? Or put up the equivalent of Orders? Party-wide effects are very, very powerful, especially in PvP...I do not envy the guy who has to balance all those skills with the existing professions.

Actually I know the solution to this particular one

I know because we have a couple of them in our guild. The problem of caster-tanking is due to two things:
1) Infrequently a monk forgetting they aren't a tank (55) on a certain map.
2) More often a wammo having picked up a second character, normally a female ele in 15k aero, and forgetting that they aren't a tank.

Im not going to say anything about the two new because I havnt tried either yet. BUT, I was hoping Anet would make somthing totaly new. Like I read up on Nightfall and it something like an african setting >.>

I wanted to have a new prof. like an elf or something. something sleek. and they could have they're own collany on the map. I think it's kinda boring always playing a human.

First of all, a little word about this noob-cursing and -swearing: don't get all too wound up about noobs taking over Tyria or Cantha... You have two options on this case:

1, they turn into fine GW-guru's.
2, after playing a month or so, they's tired of this new game they bought and go buy another. Bye-bye!

So why bother...

Second, I hope that they will once add a class that many of us will surely like. And I don't know if it's been brought up before, but I think that a 'dwarf'-class would be very cool. Sort of a warrior-alike class.
Haven't thought of any skills or attributes or so, but just the idea of a dwarf-class sounds nice...
